However, if you're just starting out don't be put off; there is terrain suitable for all levels from nursery slopes, wide blues and reds, to off-piste options for the freeride fans. As part of Andorra's biggest ski area, Grandvalira, there is a vast 200km of piste to explore with a free ski bus service running regularly between resorts so you can take full advantage. With fantastic kids circuits, non-ski activities and great apres-ski spots there is something for everyone in this little laid-back town. You can end your day on the slopes dancing on the L'Abarset terrace listening to live music or enjoying some great grub at one of El Tarter's few restaurants. For more choice of food, bars and shops you can visit the nearby Soldeu.
