A bit about Cervinia

4.6/5WONDERFUL (7,099 REVIEWS)
Located on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, Cervinia offers jaw-dropping views and impressive snowfall due to its high altitude. The great thing about this little town is that you're always close to a piste or ski lift and have an extensive choice of runs for all levels, with glacier skiing at the Klein Matterhorn too. If you're feeling adventurous you can upgrade your lift pass to gain access to the world-famous Swiss resort Zermatt, so you can boast of skiing in two countries in one day! Carve your way down some long, cruisy well-groomed slopes, with one descent dropping a breathtaking 2300m in altitude from start to finish on the impressive 22km route from the Klein Matterhorn to the village of Valtournenche. Cervinia offers a lower price tag compared to its neighbouring Swiss resorts but it certainly does not lack quality food, lively bars, charming restaurants and accommodation.
