La Plagne, offers great skiing opportunities, family-friendly amenities, and reliable snow conditions, thanks to its glacier and high-altitude slopes.
Beginners: Each village has its own beginner zone with free lifts, perfect for first lessons. Once you’re turning, gentle blues from Arpette link several bases without steep pitches.
Intermediates: With miles of blues and easy reds, La Plagne is custom-made for relaxed cruising. Ski from Roche de Mio to Montchavin for a 1,500 m vertical, or lap the wide pistes above Bellecôte Glacier.
Advanced & off-piste: Test legs on the Emile Allais and Les Étroits blacks, then hire a guide for the north face of Bellecôte, serious glacier terrain with couloirs and long powder fields. Safety kit is compulsory.
Snowboarding: The 7Cube park above Plagne Centre serves rails, jumps and boardercross. A half-pipe at Bellecôte and the fun slope off Arpette give extra variety. Chairlifts dominate, so drag-lift time is minimal.
