The Milky Way ski area, straddling the border of Italy and France, encompasses the resorts of Sestriere, Claviere, Sauze d'Oulx, Cesana, San Sicario in Italy, and Montgenèvre in France. It creates a total of over 400 km of skiable terrain, spread between altitudes of 1,350 m and 2,800 m.
