Primely located in the heart of Val di Fassa, Canazei is one of the largest villages in the Fassa Valley, and the only major resort situated on the world-famous Sella Ronda circuit, with access to 1200km of slopes as part of the Dolomiti Superski - one of the largest and most stunning skiing areas in the world. The resort provides swift chair-lift access to 210km of interlinked slopes - many of which are exceptional for intermediate-level skiers - leading to Corvara, Colfosco and Arabba. There’s also some fun off-piste routes as well as night skiing available on selected dates at the Pista Aloch ski stadium. The resort itself is a lively place with plenty of affordable yet delightful restaurants as well as a bustling nightlife scene with lots of well-priced bars to choose from.

Skiing in Canazei

Beginners: A gentle skiing zone can be found on the edge of the village, while another snowsure area awaits beginners at the top of the Ciampac gondola.

Intermediates: With 60% of the Dolomites' pistes being red, intermediate skiers have ample terrain to explore. The Sella Ronda circuit, accessible from Canazei, offers a plethora of cruising opportunities. A highly recommended journey for intermediates is the orange route towards Val Gardena.

Advanced: The slopes of Arabba offer a mix of long and steep descents, while the world championship downhill courses in Val Gardena and La Villa provide additional excitement.

Off-piste: The off-piste trails on the Marmolada mountain glacier are a highlight, with skiing at the peak recommended with a guide for safety.

Snowboarding: Canazei has its own snow park. This park spans 250m and is equipped with an artificial snow system. It can be accessed via the Belvedere chairlift and the Toe gondola.

Canazei is rich in family-focused accommodations, many of which are family-run, echoing their commitment to unparalleled hospitality and cleanliness. Children can embark on their snowy adventures from a tender age in Canazei. The resort boasts baby parks and snow parks where families can bond over activities like sledging and snowshoeing. Aspiring skiers can turn to either of the two main ski schools, the Canazei Marmolada Ski School or the Campitello Ski and Snowboard School. Both schools are equipped with child-specific facilities and nursery slopes in the valley. Canazei and Pozza di Fassa offer children dedicated lift systems and exclusive zones for their safety. Even though these areas lie slightly outside the main village, their vast, well-groomed slopes are perfectly tailored for families. Key après ski spots include Apres Ski Paradis, perfectly situated for skiers coming down from Col Rodello, the Esso Bar with its blend of local and international patrons, Husky Pub, Ski Paradis, and the Taverna Espanola.
